Dana Lofties Reeder
CEO, Founder & Assessor of Passions
Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling
Dana began her career at a university at the age of 21 working with college students to develop leadership and life skills. She also earned her Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling because she was specifically passionate about career counseling. She has extensive experience working at undergraduate and graduate-level universities, in adult and continuing education as well as serving universities who had secure testing requirements for a computer-based testing corporation. She also served as the GED administrator for students obtaining their high school diplomas overseas. Lastly, she’s lived internationally for six years traveling to over 40 countries giving her a global understanding of cultures, different educational environments (her daughters have been in all of them), and an expansive worldview.
Dana is recognized as a thought-leader in San Antonio serving on numerous advisory boards within the 4th and 10th largest school districts in Texas as well as higher education institutions championing the power of formal career exploration. She was a guest speaker at the Laura Bush Institute for Women’s Health where she talked with 1500 college freshman women about how to make informed decisions about their future as well as a panelist at Workforce events. She was a guest podcast speaker for a year with Salem Media group covering the progression of career exploration beginning in the 8th grade through adulthood. In 2020 she began her own podcast, "What's YOUR Career Story" interviewing professionals in different career fields as a resource for her clients, and individuals who are considering these high-demand fields.
She was selected as a finalist for the 2018 National Association of Women Business Owners in San Antonio and in 2020 was the winner of the NAWBO Rising Star Award out of almost 100 submissions due to her success in solving a problem and her commitment to the San Antonio educational community. She brought Angst, a documentary on anxiety to San Antonio for the 1st time which resulted in schools, churches, and community organizations continue to show it throughout San Antonio and the surrounding areas because she saw a large number of clients identify as suffering and felt the conversation needed to be brought to the forefront.
She is a member of The National Career Development Association, Texas Counseling Association, Texas Career Development Association, and the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling because she’s passionate about staying informed and continuing to learn so she’s able to help her clients.
