Islander Guarantee for New Students with Adjusted Gross Income of $125K or Less
Paying for school is easier at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
You may qualify for the Islander Guarantee program, which covers your tuition if you meet all the criteria and complete your FAFSA by the deadline. Islander Guarantee is designed to cover the cost of tuition and fees by first utilizing federal grants, state grants, and institutional aid. Any remaining tuition and fees not covered by these programs will be covered by Islander Guarantee.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused more families to struggle to afford college, and this program is just one way Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi helps make it affordable.
This program is available for newly enrolled freshman students with an adjusted gross income of $125,000 or less and who meet eligibility requirements.
Eligibility & Renewal Requirements
Resources have been dedicated to cover tuition and mandatory fees for newly enrolled freshman, Texas resident students whose Family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is $125,000 or less and meet other criteria.
Must be a Texas Resident
Must submit a FAFSA application
Must complete a FAFSA by the deadline of April 15th annually and be PELL Grant eligible
Must maintain a 2.5 GPA
Must complete at least 15 semester credit hours each fall and spring semester at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
You may qualify for Islander Guarantee for eight consecutive fall and spring semesters if you continue to meet the above-mentioned criteria and are working toward your first undergraduate degree.
